I absolutely love hard drives: favorite memories are from my college days sneaking around torrent bans on the school network and filling up hard drives (fansub anime at the time). The clunking and clicking in the beige box all night - therapeutic.

My current build is based around an 8TB Western Digital Blue that's seeing backup duty and storing databases.

Next project is probably a pair of Ironwolf or WD Reds to get serious about backups, I've already lost data juggling thumbdrives. I know that time is limited, price/terabyte is coming down on SSDs so I will see this tech vanish in my lifetime.
